Nutcracker is responsible for testing new technologies under dev citizen and end user research programmes on a number EU Research & Development projects. We research new technology under development ensuring that the product development keeps citizen needs at the forefront.
CARISMAND researched the impact on cultural factors on citizen response during natural and man-made disasters and after-crisis recovery.
Nutcracker Market Research carried out research with 600 citizens and 150 emergency responders using large-scale workshops across six EU cities.
Our findings were directly fed into the development of the CARISMAND online tool for use by emergency responders in EU countries.

CITYCOP‘s goal was to maximise citizen engagement with local policing fighting minor crimes via a custom-designed local police app.
Nutcracker designed a two-stage, multi-country qualitative study with citizens in Italy, Portugal, Romania, UK and Ireland to determine citizen needs and reactions to the app prototype.
Nutcracker also presented the research to Dublin, Sheffield and Florence police to help promote the solution to local law enforcement agencies i.

The TURNkey FWCR (Forecasting – Early Warning – Consequence Prediction– Response) produced a platform using a multi-sensor-based earthquake information system to facilitate earthquake forecasting, early warning and rapid response actions.
Nutcracker carried out a three-stage study amongst citizens and emergency services in Italy, Greece and Romania to identify the information needed by potential end users and likely influence on citizens and community resilience.

The TENACITY vision is to develop a Travel Intelligence Governance Framework that will incorporate a holistic approach to crime prevention, by not only strengthening security authorities with advanced technologies, but also by addressing all legal/ societal/ ethical challenges.
